Nanjing Zhonghua
Middle School was initially founded in1899 with its first name of
Christ School. Afterwards, it had been moved and changed its names
for several times due to the tough social situations before the
founding of the People’s Republic of China. As early as in 1953
Zhonghua Middle School was confirmed to be the Provincial Key Middle
School, which is now a national Model High School or a Four Star
comprehensive middle school in Jiangsu. During the successful
process of the school development Zhonghua Middle School has been
firmly carrying out the notable issues, which are for the students,
of the students and by the students. Therefore, it has finally
formed it significant teaching features: Devotion to Education, Love
of Students, Based on Science and Strictness in Work, it has its
unique learning features: Intelligence, Collaboration, Perusing of
the truth and Creations of New world. The school has a slogan of
Pursuing of truth, of accuracy, of existence and of renovation.
Zhonghua Middle School now has 54 classes, of which 36 classes belong to
high school sector and the other 18 classes in secondary school
sector. It has 2700 students annually and 220 teaching staff. In the
teaching personnel network some of staff have the crowns as National
Model Laborers, some are praised as Model Teachers, some have been
evaluated as teaching experts winning state subsidies. There are
tens of them who are leaders and famous in their respective field of
teaching. Zhonghua Middle School has successfully cultivated a large
number of personnel, who are active in the national construction
aspects of science, military, politics, arts and economy and they
are even well-known abroad. Zhonghua Middle School has now been
awarded with the titles as National Modern Technique Education Base,
National Modern Technique Model School, Unit of civilization in
Jiangsu and Provincial morality Education Model School.
In the new era Zhonghua Middle school has set up its own spirits of
pursuing of accuracy and of creation of wonders in education. The
authorities of the school have been integrating the great traditions
